Jesus is the reason for this season. Some people say, we don’t know Jesus actual birth date so why do we take the 25th December to celebrate his birthday. Well another thing, we know the Queen’s Birthday is in April, so why have the Queen’s Birthday holiday weekend in June. What Difference does it make.

The most important reason to celebrate Jesus’s Birthday is not just because He was born, but also because of what He did for us. It is not just about His miracle birth, being born of a virgin, but about His death and resurrection. Without His sinless sacrifice we’d have no forgiveness of sin. And without His resurrection we wouldn’t be able to have the free gift of eternal life.

Of course gifts aren’t ours until we receive them. So if you want your sins forgiven and the free gift of eternal life you must receive it. And how do you receive this gift, you might ask.

You could say the following prayer and become a friend of Jesus:

Dear Jesus, I repent of all my sin. I believe you died on the cross for my sins, so God can see me as Holy and righteous. I believe you rose again from the dead so that I could receive the free gift of eternal life. I ask you Jesus to come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour and my friend. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. I thank you that I am now forgiven, I’m a child of God, I’m a new creation, I have been born again spiritually, and I’m a living precious jewel. Amen.
